Previously we\u2019ve introduced our tag library in\u00a0How to Better Attract Your Target Readers? (I)<\/strong><\/a>, which mainly explained\u00a0World Setting<\/strong>\u00a0and a part of\u00a0Plot Setting\u00a0<\/strong>tags. Hopefully,\u00a0it could make it easier for you to add tags to your stories.<\/p>\n

Now let\u2019s look at the rest~<\/p>\n

Plot Setting<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Plot<\/p>\n

Special Ability:<\/strong>\u00a0To some extent,\u00a0System<\/strong>\u00a0can also be included in\u00a0Special Ability<\/strong>, and the two are often used in combination.<\/p>\n

Special Ability<\/strong>\u00a0is not limited to superpowers for fights like what X-men possess; it could also mean super medical skills, the natural ability to attract the opposite sex, or the ability that can help earn money quickly.<\/p>\n

The special ability can appear in various forms, such as a mysterious system or a magic ring, like a game’s cheat code, which directly gives the protagonist an advantage over others.<\/p>\n

Counterattack<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Face-slapping:\u00a0<\/strong>These two are similar. You can use\u00a0Counterattack<\/strong><\/p>\n

when the protagonist reverses the situation, or your storyline is based on revenge. Therefore, a novel tagged with\u00a0Counterattack<\/strong>\u00a0might also be related to\u00a0Revenge<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Face-slapping<\/strong>\u00a0is often tagged for an immediate counterattack, like when the protagonist directly demonstrates his strength when people despise them, which greatly excites the readers.<\/p>\n

Weak to Strong\u00a0<\/strong>or\u00a0Poor to Rich<\/strong>: The protagonist gradually grew from the lost or deprived person to the world’s strongest, god or billionaire. This tag is often associated with the\u00a0Counterattack<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0Face-slapping\u00a0<\/strong>as mentioned above.<\/p>\n

Kingdom building:\u00a0<\/strong>In novels with this tag,\u00a0<\/strong>the protagonist focuses on building their power step by step. It is not limited to building a kingdom, but the protagonist can also develop his armed forces, companies, or even ethnic groups.<\/p>\n

Harem:\u00a0<\/strong>This tag implies that there will be a mature plot within the story. The protagonist has multiple lovers or female characters who have unrequited love for him throughout the novel.<\/p>\n

Identity of Protagonist<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Identity<\/p>\n

After choosing from the two major tag libraries, we can turn our attention to\u00a0<\/strong>the\u00a0Identity of\u00a0<\/strong>the\u00a0Protagonist<\/strong>. Compared to the\u00a0Character of\u00a0<\/strong>the\u00a0Protagonist<\/strong>, readers are more willing to choose books based on the protagonist\u2019s identity and profession.<\/p>\n

If there is no suitable career tag to show the protagonist\u2019s identity, we suggest that you choose\u00a0Female lead<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0Male lead<\/strong>\u00a0to tell readers the gender of the protagonist.<\/p>\n

After selecting from the above three tag categories, you can choose appropriate tags from the remaining if you still have spots left.<\/p>\n

In the\u00a0Tone<\/strong>\u00a0library,\u00a0Kicking<\/strong>\u00a0is usually used for adventure web fiction, indicating that the whole work is filled with exciting plots, which pleasures the readers a lot.\u00a0Drama<\/strong>\u00a0is normally used in romantic works, revealing a love story full of twists.<\/p>\n

Note that the ten tags are mainly used to show the protagonist. What are they like? What will they do in this novel? In case any confusion generates, it\u2019s better not to choose tags for supporting characters.<\/p>\n

In addition to the six categories, specific activity tags are used when the work is an entry for a particular activity. For example, your work should be tagged with\u00a0ESCAPING-Suspense\/Thriller Writing Contest I<\/strong>\u00a0if you want to participate in the recent\u00a0Escaping Writing Contest<\/strong>. Tagging your entry will help editors notice your participation sooner.<\/p>\n
